    Black Forest Cake

This is a popular cake in the old world tradition - chocolate chiffon soaked with Kirshwasser and filled with black bing cherries and whipped cream also loaded on top with delectable chocolate curls. Better known in Germany as a Schwärzwalder Kirsch Torte.

    This 10" cake - serves 16.

This is a very traditional German cake. Others in this traditional collection include the Seven Layer Cake and Linzer Torte, and the Marzipan Roulade Pastry.

Black Forest gateau and Black Forest cake are the English names for the German dessert Schwarzwalder Kisschtorte, literally “Black Forest cherry-torte”, where it originated.
