    Background

    In 1999, a gentleman named Gerry Schoenberg imagined and conceived of a way to ground ship frozen desserts and pastries to discriminating people anywhere in the continental United States at a reasonable price. Until then, such shipments required very expensive air transport.

    This now enabled areas that couldn’t support a high quality dessert and pastry distributor, to enjoy New York quality desserts and pastries year round.

    So he set about implementing his mail order concept of shipping frozen cakes and pastries to fill the void in the non-metropolitan areas. What followed, was the birth of Old Style Desserts, our retail division. Over time, with diligent and unwavering focus, the company set about finding the best tasting and most affordable desserts and pastries to ship via FedEx directly to the retail consumer, within 2 to 3 days.

    Now, nearly 20 years later, we are the country’s foremost mail order supplier of premium cakes and pastries, delivering our widely acclaimed, upscale products, directly to your door.

    Working with a team of professional packaging designers, we perfected a packaging system that all but does away with shipping damage. Our miniature and individual products nest in custom-engineered plastic trays, securely shrink wrapped. Our multiportion cakes and tortes are surrounded in tightly shrink wrapped protective cake collars.

    Our products are served all over the country with pride by select event planners, fine restaurants, country clubs, synagogues, coffee houses, gourmet food shops as well as discerning individuals. So whether you’re planning a special event, or just want to show someone how much they mean to you, show them with Old Style Desserts and put a smile on their face.

    All our products are Certified OU or CRC and are listed as Pas Yisroel and Yoshon.

    Here are 2 photos I have from the cakes at our National Youth Leadership Training camp, deep in the woods of northern San Diego county.

    Their eyes were full of wonder at these - the Assorted Brownie Minis and Florentine Cookies were very popular and the Petit Fours Minis were a first experience for many.
